How is the food on International flights from US to UK?

I have heard that they serve you good food on a flight that is over seven hours long. Has anyone flown on American Airlines on an International flight, and do they really give you a good meal, or should I eat before the flight? And do they really give you free drinks? Im only flying economy, but they claim that the food is good and so are the drinks. Just checking. Also, any other tips I need to know about flying that distance is greatly appreciated as well!

I was on AA on an international flight, and it’s not bad food. We had two meals and tons of snacks, but really it wasn’t bad food.

Drinks are free on ALL airplanes.

Remember to drink a lot of water, and try to sleep with the schedule you’re going to be changing to. In other words–if you’re going to be changing 6 time zones, go to bed 6 hours earlier/later.

Also get up and walk during the flight. It will help with clots.

I fly to the UK quite often, and the food isn’t that good. I recommend eating in the airport before you board. The drinks (i assume you are talking about non-alcoholic) are free, while alocoholic ones will cost you. The drinks are fine and you do not need to worry about bringing them on. I recommend eating before, and buying some kind of snack or something else for the ride. I often buy a sandwich before and bring it on.

The food sucks royal! It doesnt matter where you are flying…. The food is universal! Good luck. My advice to you would be to pack some snacks!

from my experience, US airlines serve the least appetizing food ( also the rudest staff )…for food Thai, Jal, and SilkAir have to be tops… and for the crew… well, any i guess, except for the US airlines… unbelievevably rude, discourteous… just going through the motions of doing their jobs… i dont really know why…maybe because they know you dont give tips for service on the flight…ive flown both coach and first class.. food and service a little better in first class but still behind the other airlines…

Airline food stinks no matter who you fly with. You can check on AA’s website to see if drinks are free. Usually soda and juice are free, but beer and wine aren’t. On British Airways, beer and wine are free.
