I have about 8 credit card accounts, only two have moderate balances, a few more with low balances and three at zero balance. Would it improve or hurt my credit score to close the three with zero balances?
I do have three paid in full they are zero balances- so I should keep them open- even at zero?

Tripoli starts to feel the bite of sanctions
Libya’s dinar has lost a third of its value on the black market over the past three weeks since international sanctions were introduced, a stark measure of the shortage of hard currency that has hit Muammer Gaddafi’s regime in the wake of the revolt.

Although not in the article, I find it interesting the word used to describe the 4 failing economies that are part of the Eurozone.

Say you earn 1000 and have to pay 1050 for your credit card debt. You have to rely on your credit cards ( again ) for those extra 50 and for your monthly expenses.
What should a person with this problem do?
Would it be ok to take a loan?
Finance gurus like David Bach say to pay the highest rate card first, but what should you do if you can’t?
Thanks ¡¡¡¡

I have $25,000 in student loans, all from Direct Loans. My problem is that I am currently defaulting my loans and interest is growing like the monster it is. I’m going to graduate this fall semester in a degree in Information Systems. How is the job market for IS/IT positions today? Are there any alternate fields I can go into with a BS degree in Business with a concentration in Information Systems?
Sorry, I mean deferring not defaulting. Sorry for any confusion.

I qualify for IBR, but half my loans are Perkins loans. Should I consolidate Perkins and Stafford loans? Because of the 5 percent set interest rate on Perkins, many seem to advise against consolidating these. But without consolidating, my monthly payments are very high. Any advice appreciated.

I have 28k in student loans. The minimum payment is 188 a month. Some months I cant even afford that. What will I do? The only good news is that I have consolidated them and have a good interest rate. Other than that, I dont know what to do. Buy a house and when I sell it in X amount years, use some of the profit to pay it off? Any other ideas?

She offered to use her credit card and pay half of the repairs on my vehicle. Neither one of us have enough credit to pay for the whole thing on one credit card. Now she can’t come with me but she said she would give me her card to use.
Can I do that? Do I need her written permission or something?
