Can you have a student credit card and a regular credit card with the same bank?

Sunday, April 10th, 2011

I have a student credit card with Chase, but I also want to open their amazon one because I buy tons of stuff from Amazon. Please relevant feedback only. Nothing about APR rate, risks, etc. I never spend more than 10% of what I have saved up in my checking account, thus I’ve never had one late payment in 3 years (I’m 22 now). Please leave that stuff out. Thanks.

If my student loan is now in forbearance will first-time home buyer credits go toward paying off those loans?

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

Is there a stipulation under the law that would allocate the credit to pay of my loans instead of receiving the tax credit?
I received a very condescending and unintelligible response from Realtoratheart. The answer was reported and this person has been blocked. I am only seeking helpful answers.

How can I get a better rate on my student loans?

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

I have approximately $65,000 in student loans left, I’ve been paying them off, but my interest rates are all between 9 and 10 percent. Which is extremely high, I’ve had years where I’ve barely been able to even pay off the interest. 10% seems ludicrously high, there must be a better way. Can anyone please, please suggest how I can get a lower rate, these loans are killing me.

Thanks so much.

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

Hi,
I was thinking about getting a credit card, primarily to start building my credit rating. So I was wondering what the best card to get was? I have a steady job making about $1000 a month, and would always pay if off on time. What is the best card to build it up??
Thanks
I want to try to get introduced into the world of credit and how it works, that is my secondary object.

Student Loans: How much is too much to pay for pharmacy school?

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

Although I’m confident that pharmacists can pay off student loans over time, I’d like to know how much is too much to borrow for pharmacy school? I don’t like the idea of being in debt after I graduate- it’s a little scary for new graduates… Pharmacy students and graduates, how much is too much? Thanks :)
Also, how much in loans did you have to take out until you graduated?

The economy is getting worst by the day and I have student loans growing interest? How can I pay them now?

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

I have $25,000 in student loans, all from Direct Loans. My problem is that I am currently defaulting my loans and interest is growing like the monster it is. I’m going to graduate this fall semester in a degree in Information Systems. How is the job market for IS/IT positions today? Are there any alternate fields I can go into with a BS degree in Business with a concentration in Information Systems?
Sorry, I mean deferring not defaulting. Sorry for any confusion.

I’m in my early 40s. Should I use my inheritance to pay off my student loans or invest in retirement?

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

I have about 70K in student loans and could pay it off and put the monthly payment toward retirement, savings toward a newer car, or both. I have a mortgage, but no other debts. I like the idea of not having 12 more years of student loan payments, even if the inheritance “cushion” will be exhausted. Anyone have any ideas?
