The Pre-Budget Report (UK Government)?

Friday, May 6th, 2011

Yesterday the British Government announced their pre-budget report.

In this report Alastair Darling made a £20 billion investment in the economy between now and 2010, and has said (or we hope) it will pay dividends!

A few weeks ago he bailed out certain banks to a tune of £400bn and as far as what I can see they have been totally arrogant in the way they have showed their appreciation. As in they did not automatically reduce certain rates (Not 100% sure of the facts on this)

The British Government is spending our money like it is water.
They have told us in the past that the country has no money (yeh right!)
I have heard that yesterday’s lifeline will cost every single tax payer around £4000.

Where are they getting this money from? Is it in some sort of off shore bank account which is in turn making extortionate interest?
Or have they just been totally greedy whilst in the holiday period as what we had some time ago. And made cuts here. And reduce spending there.

I am not a businessman I am just an average man just plodding away at life-hence not knowing the full facts to the situation; but I am hoping someone can shed some light on the above circumstances and explain some of these economics.

Sorry for the rant! But I do hope some one can see where I am coming from?

Thanks

My credit card account is currently in good standing but in November of 2006 I was 60 days past due.
