what are the consequences of not paying off credit card debt?

Sunday, February 6th, 2011

My family and I had an unplaned birth, and our now overwhelmed with medical expenses and the new expenses from the child. Since we did not have health insurance we became overwhelmed with bills. Over the last couple of years we have fallen progressively farther behind on our credit card bills. We have not made a payment on some of the cards in over nine month. Utlimately, besides lowering our credit score, is the consequences of not paying the cards. Can the creditors take our vehicles? Take money from our bank accounts? Garrnish our wages? We are very worried about our debt and would like to pay the debt off, yet feel very intimidated by the whole process. Thanks for any help

What would happen if the US simply stopped paying the interest on its loans from the federal reserve?

Tuesday, January 11th, 2011

Or not pay on the loans anymore at all?

What do you think will really happen? Would the benefits outweight the down sides?

Who would be there to force them to pay/ Collect?

When a person is so burried in debt, that they can not crawl out, we have the ability to declare bankrupcy…. to start with a clean slate…
As far as trade…. why would that be a negative thing? We would need to become independant again.. and not have to allow foreigners to have control over our economy.
The government could do everything that the central bank of america (fed) does. It can print, loan, control money supply to balance out the economy.

What does the Fed do, that america can not do for itself without initial interst tacked on?

Anyone have a link, showing what law, bill or agreement that shows the fed is to return 90% of the profit?

Who audits their books, to verify the profit they claim?

Who keeps the 10%?

Anyone with exact numbers?

Thursday, January 6th, 2011

The loans are always paid on time, but there is still a couple more years to go. I’m not hurting for money and there is enough saved up for a down payment and I can afford the monthly payment for a mortgage and taxes and insurance. I have a salary job. Would the bank finance me?
