With the never ending recession most people are unsure wither their jobs are secure enough to spend money on their holidays, Maybe that holiday is looking more look a nightmare than a hard earned break?
Don’t be too quick to dismiss your dream break just yet! There are loads of perfectly suited holiday destinations right here in the UK and will cost you much less than going abroad and is very good for the economy as well, wither you are looking for a family holiday or just a holiday for two you are sure to find exactly what you are after on the internet!
Searching online takes all the hassle out of traipsing to the travel agents who will offer you something at an over inflated price and probably wasn’t quite what you were after either, there are loads of ideas online even if you are only planning a UK Weekend Break, you are sure to get exactly what you want.
If you are looking for a short break, long break, quiet or action packed it can all be sourced on the internet, wither you have a budget in mind or a bit spare it still best practice to search around for the best price.
If you are looking for a quiet holiday why not book yourself a self catering cottage out in the country where you can go for long walks and enjoy the fresh air, or you can hire a motor home and just cruise around taking in all the sights and there are loads of sites that you can stop at night or if you are a bit more adventurous why not go camping, very cheap and most camping sites are very good on their rates and they normally provide showers, toilets and other useful facilities and can be fun even for a family unit as it gives you time to talk and interact with each other that the usual TV and games consoles can destroy!
If you are looking for a bit more excitement why not try a UK Holiday Park? There are so many all over the UK like Butlins, Haven, Pontins and they provide whole family entertainment and is suitable from the littlest child to teenagers to grandparents, and normally you can get really great package prices and the accommodation is more than adequate with the usual being static caravans or challis, they also have programmes to keep your children entertained while you relax knowing they will be having fun with usual activities like karaoke or talent competitions. Although to make it a bit better on your pocket always self cater, bring your own food as the accommodation will have a small kitchen with all the facilities needed for everyday cooking.
If you have a bigger budget and your kids are a lot older there is always theme parks, you have in the UK the likes of Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington, Drayton Manor and Legoland to say the least but staying in the park can be expensive so why not just but the tickets for the required days and stay in a nearby hotel or B&B which may be cheaper.
Whatever you chose don’t underestimate what the UK can offer compared to the overpriced holidays abroad that’s only real attraction difference is the weather which will only make you feel depressed when you come home to a colder damper climate, where you can have the best holiday and go home feeling regenerated and maybe even have some spare cash leftover!
