How do they work? How much money do you need to use them ( bills )? I will be using it mostly on pay later options, and I DO plan on paying it off.

I have almost always been on time for my bills, but I have only been paying my own bills for not even three years. I have a car loan, but I’ve only had it since October, but I have never been late on that. I don’t even know where to start when trying to get a credit card. I just want to get one to build credit. I want the highest possible limit even though I won’t be putting much on it.

I got my first credit card a little over a month ago, and am very anxious to start building my credit score up.
I have already made my first payment, on time and in full, and my next statement should be arriving within a few days.
I have heard that you have a 3-payment-cycle “grace period”, in which your payment habits do not affect your credit. Is this true? Or does your credit start being affected as soon as you make your first payment?

I am 19, a college student, and am going to Israel for 10 days this summer and I was thinking about getting a credit card for the trip.
