Worldwide financial recession is going on which has affected the entire global economy. These effects of the fiscal slump have also hit the U.S. and its states but even at that time Houston has exhibited excellent performance to maintain the economy of the country. The local financial analyst and many foreign who booked flights to Houston have assessed the overall progress of the state and noticed that the economic market of this city is still considered to be slightest affected by that slump. The strength of the economy of Houston lies in different industrial sectors which collectively stood up this city in the economic giants. The energy sector is contributing half of the local economy and that sector includes crude oil trading and natural gas production. The tactical position of this city is continuously enhancing the energy sectors and meeting the global market demands.

 

Houston is the fourth largest city in U.S. but the population growth rate has taken this metropolis at 2nd position. A remarkable difference can be seen in the population growth of the state in last decade. The well educated environment has even not let this factor to affect the development of the state. The real state sector is also participating a lot in the financial expansion of the city. I was told that the mortgage companies and banks are going to reset (re-write) home loans starting on Oct 1st. Why are they waiting so long? If they re-set the loans now they will receive monthly payments and people will stay in their homes. If they continue to wait until oct 1st more people will be walking out on their homes cause they cant make the higher payments.
This same greed has caused the problem, the banks should take what they can now and not loose more money.

I think that UK will be damaged most by this financial crisis. UK has developed its economy with its financial credits for 20 years. It has abandoned manufacturing industry since 80′s. It would be very difficult to recover from this financial crisis.

I have to do a current events about the UK. I can choose economy of the UK, war, business, and social. What does social mean? What would be an example of something happening socially?

was just thinking of the wealth and land the royal family own and how much would be spent each year on their maintenance and security and whatever expenses they cost the tax payer, would the UK be better off without them for financial reasons?
