UK best loan for bad credit?

Friday, April 29th, 2011

Hi,

I applyed for a loan a year ago from sainsburys bank and was accepted but I decided at the last min to not go ahead with it. After that I have taken out a few payday loans and paied them back in full on time. Now I want a small loan (about £1200) so I can move to a new place (I will use as deposit) but big banks are not accepting me. Any recomendations? And why would I have been refused? I dont make that much but have been accepted before, maybe due to our current economy? Thanks.

P.S: I know taking a loan is not a good think and should be avoided but I need to move place in 2 months and it’s urgent.

How can I get a credit card if im 14 years old?

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

Okay so I really want to buy something that I found online but I need a credit card. I don’t want to keep asking my mom to let me use her credit card because she wont let me use it for the things I want online. Is there any possible way I could get a credit card? My mom said they are like prepaid money cards at say CVS, but would that even work to pay for things online?

What is your credit score when you get your first Credit card?

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

I am looking into getting a credit card, and I want to know what is your credit score when you get you first card.

How do they work? How much money do you need to use them ( bills )? I will be using it mostly on pay later options, and I DO plan on paying it off.

How can I pay my credit card off in 12 months?

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

Ok, I have a HUGE credit card bill…like, 15k. i have only one credit card, so this is it. i take home about 2,600. i have a home, i have been investing for 3 years in my Roth IRA and 403b.

so far i have put my car up for sale for a less expensive car, that will make my payment about 1/2. i’ve also cancelled my retirement contributions for this year (i know that’s bad but that’s my motivation…to get back on track and contributing again ASAP) and i have taken a roomate who will may about 1/3 of my mortgage and 1/2 the bills.

i’ll have about 1,100 a month after i’ve covered all my bills. but obviously i have to buy food and gas. i’ve already informed friends to NOT ask me out for dinner, etc… and i don’t need any clothes for work or anything.

i feel like i’ve done all that i can as far as freeing up my income to start attacking this bill…..yet it’s not enough!!! i’ll still be doing this for maybe 2 years…but i need to get it done THIS YEAR.
maybe…..can i get the money out of my roth? i know that goes against everything they tell you…but i was just thinking that’s the only other bit of money i have! is that even possible? and there is no reason a debt management agency would help me…i have money to pay, and my interest rate is already like 13%, i don’t miss payments…they don’t have any reason to cut me a break.
thanks for all the earnest advice…i really appreciate it. the reason for paying it off within the year is that my boyfriend and i would like to get married within the year, and i don’t want him responsible for my financial issues. i’d like for us to have the option of moving, without being tied down by debt and monthly obligations.

How do you get a credit card from your local bank when you’re self-employed online ?

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

I would like to put my own web site and sell some of my stories online. I already know how to get an online account, but I’m wondering what will it take to get a credit card from my local bank when you’re self-employed online. What do you need from your own website that would allow you to own your own credit card. Are there very vital documents involved that I would definitely need to obtain one from my local bank ? Please tell me what I have to do to get it?

How can I lower my credit card’s interest rate?

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

I have the Citibank Platinum Dividend (not the Student version) card with a 18.99% interest. I think it is ridiculous to have a 18.99% APR. I have a great credit history although it is rather short (I am 21/student and started this card at age 18).

I have never been late and I always pay in full so it never really mattered to me. But I feel, after proving myself a responsible credit user for 3yrs, they should cut me some slack. My credit limit goes up every few months (almost $20,000 now) but the APR never goes down!

I called about it and they said there is nothing they can do now but call again in 2 weeks. This is the only request I’ve made in 3yrs. Should I just dump Citibank and go with another bank? I’m afraid my credit score would go down since this is my longest-running card.
