All of the above nations, plus many others, are ran by parties that are members of Socialist International. Those countries are all also respectful of human rights and democracy and have stable, healthy economies. Not only that, but we also have good relations with all of those countries. Why Soviet-style Communism has certainly proven itself a bad government, why is socialism itself vilified?

My fiance is living in London. I am going there to live with him for 4 months but only going over as a visitor (no VISA…just my American passport). He says that once I get into the UK I cannot leave (ie. to visit Germany, France, etc.) because he says they may not let me back into the UK and then I’ll be screwed! I understand what he is saying becuase they might say, “Well you’ve been here for 2 months…now why are you coming back so soon?” but on the other hand, don’t they want me to boost their economy by traveling? The way I see it…I either have to go to the UK and stay there for all 4 months or travel every 2 weeks or so, so that they realize I am not “living” there. One extreme or the other…any advice?

Let me explain.. I am originally from America and my fiance is from London. Weve been together for two years now, weve spent alot of time apart. He came to visit me in America, spent 3 months with me and went back to England for a month, then tried to come back. Homeland security wouldnt let him into the country because they said he had spent enough time in America. After finding out how ridiculous it is to get someone an american visa we just said screw it and decided to have me move to England. The Economy got really bad in my home town back in November so I came to London to stay with him when I couldnt afford my place in america anymore. Ive been here since November trying to find a way to legally stay here and I cant find any options. They said I dont have enough time to apply for a certificate of approval for marriage because you need 3 months left on your UK status and Im only legally allowed to be here until April 15th. Ive looked into a fiance visa but there is a problem with that.. They want documents showing income, but at the moment he hasnt got any income. He got hurt a while back and needs surgery on his spine. He has been trying to get it fixed but hes been pushed back further and further by doctors. We dont really need an income at the moment because his family understands the situation and they give us a place to live, but I know immigration wont look at it that way. It says they want the past 3 years of tax statements, bank statements, pay stubs, etc. He doesnt have ANY of that, but it says Im going to need it to apply at the embassy in NY for my visa. WHAT CAN I DO?? I have no way to get married and stay because they want me to go back to america and apply first.. but I have nowhere to go, no money and no options in America. I dont want to overstay my time here because if Im caught they could ban me from England for life.

So.. Someone told me that if I go to Denmark or Sweden to get married, then come back to England I can apply for a spouse visa and I wouldnt have to go back to America.. Is that true? I cant really find anything about it online so Im hoping someone has experience dealing with this sort of thing.

Both the UK and USSR have been moving farther and farther to the Right. As they do their economy, life styles and freedoms are on the rise. Yet as the US moves farther and farther left we are doing worse and worse. If socialism and a government that takes power away from the people and then tells them how to live is such a wonderful idea, say the liberals, why is this happening?
Also, in the mid 90′s when Japan’s economy was shrinking why did they slash taxes to save themselves from a recession? Why did it work for them but is “stupid” for us in the US to do? Should someone who understand the basics of economics start putting the words up on obama’s teleprompter in order to save the country?

I have a delinquent credit card on my credit history since 2004. They are threatening to file a motion in court for me to pay it.
What will happen when they file the motion and I don’t pay it?
Will it still drop off in a year or will it extend it for another 7 years?

I’m from Indiana. I hear people talk about how if you come back and work in Indiana for five years after college graduation you get half your student loans forgiven. Is this true?? What is this? Where can I find more information on this or similar programs? I am planning on staying in Indiana and teaching high school in my home town. THANKS!!!

The aerospace industry is bouncing back according to a report by A|D|S – the Aerospace, Defense and Security trade organization – published today.

The report shows that revenues for the UK aerospace industry swelled 5.4 percent in 2009 to a combined £22.2 billion.

It comes after last month’s encouraging Farnborough Air Show, which was the second most successful show ever for new aircraft orders. The largest single order at Farnborough was from General Electric’s leasing company for 60 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family at $4.9 billion.

Graham Chisnall, Managing Director, Commercial Aerospace and Operations at A|D|S, said: “The aerospace sector in the UK is in a strong position. It is number one in Europe and second only to the U.S. globally, employing over 100,000 people across the country and with a turnover in 2009 of £22.2 billion. The strong orders at Farnborough and the optimism of the industry around the Airshow reflects the fact that, despite pressures on the defense budget, the industry is on the up, especially in the UK, buoyed by the recovery of the civil sector.

“This position of British success has been achieved through a combination of factors such as a strong UK presence by major multinational companies, the agility of the sector that in large part is delivered by innovative small and medium sized businesses in the global aerospace supply chain, farsighted historical investment in technology by both industry and Government alongside strong performance in export markets. This recipe for success must continue so that we can maintain the benefits this provides for our economy and to enable the current Government to deliver on its priorities around jobs, rebalancing the economy and increasing UK exports.”

The main findings of the report by A|D|S are:

* Aerospace is bouncing back after a tough period following the global recession.

* The UK industry remained resilient and revenues rose by 5.4 percent in 2009 to £22.2 billion.

* A strong performance at the 2010 Farnborough International Airshow (19 – 25 July) saw $47 billion (£31 billion) of orders placed. This was down on the record performance of $88.7 billion of 2008 but up on the previous record of $46 billion from 2006.

* Boeing (29 percent) and Airbus (26 percent) represented the majority of this $47 billion figure.

* The largest single order at Farnborough was from General Electric’s leasing company for 60 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family at $4.9 billion.

* Embraer and Sukhoi also had a successful Farnborough 2010.

* The contrast between civil and defense aerospace reflects global circumstances with the civil side recovering at a time when defense budgets are under pressure.

* Growth in both sectors is significant in emerging economies such as the Middle East, India, Brazil and China as also reflected in the 2010 A|D|S aerospace survey.
