In these economics times, would I be better off moving?

Friday, May 20th, 2011

Obviously the economy in the US sucks right now, and every joe-shmoe and “expert” out there agrees its not going to get better anytime soon…. so with that in mind, think it would just be better to forget the US and move to another country? say Canada or the UK? I’m particularly fond of england, though I’ve never been there. Is the economy anywhere else in the world better than it is in the US?

Which country is better to live in: the UK or US?

Monday, February 7th, 2011

I currently live in the US, but I have a strong affiliation with the UK by family. Everyone seems to have their own idea about this subject, and some can take to such extremes as to hostilise one another. I like to think myself a very open-minded individual, and I’m open to all opinions. I understand what the UN says on this question, but I want truthful experiences and unbias opinions. Please, no bias people that just think their country is the greatest only because they were born there. I would highly desire the input of those who have resided in both countries of either British or American birth. Or even the opinions of others who have lived in both countries. Now what I mean by ‘better to live in’ is: which one is ‘all-around’ better to live in. Please consider factors such as discrimination, social acceptance, economy, government affairs, rights and regulations, and anything else relevant. Thank you very much for your answers. :)

How can I get a better rate on my student loans?

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

I have approximately $65,000 in student loans left, I’ve been paying them off, but my interest rates are all between 9 and 10 percent. Which is extremely high, I’ve had years where I’ve barely been able to even pay off the interest. 10% seems ludicrously high, there must be a better way. Can anyone please, please suggest how I can get a lower rate, these loans are killing me.

Thanks so much.
