Why are more inclined to vote Tory because of the billboards that have been put up in the UK?

Monday, May 16th, 2011

In my opinion, the billboards are immature in gimmicky, though since I am part of a working class family, I suppose I’m biased.

The billboards I’m talking about are the ones pointing out Gordon Brown’s previous mistakes (e.g. – I widened the gap between the rich and poor, vote for me. Or vote for change. Vote Tory) or the ones promising change (e.g. – I’ve never voted Tory before, but we need to sort out our economy).

My questions are:

Why are people swayed by these methods?
Do you think that the Conservatives are finally trying to looking after the working class?
Do you share my opinion and think that this is cheap and childish?
If you’re voting Conservative, why?
Who did you vote for before?
If you’ve been manipulated by these billboards, what do you find appealing about them?

Thank you in advance for anyone that answers. I appreciate all answers, even if your opinions aren’t the same as mine. I’m simply curious :)
Actually, I was sharing my opinions and asking other people for theirs.

I apologise if I’ve offended you, but I want people to tell me what they think and why they think I’m wrong/right.

Believe me, I could write a LOT more than on politics, and not just about the Tories either. My intentions are to find out what other people think about this.

I also never said that I loved Gordon Brown. Yes, if I was old enough to vote, I would vote Labour, but that doesn’t mean that I “love” the leader. It’s the policies and intentions that I “love”.

Like I’ve already said, I’m sorry if I’ve offended you.

Why has the U.N. been calling for increased “global governance” of the world’s economy?

Friday, February 11th, 2011

Why do THEY need to be able to govern individual country’s economies? Isn’t this a dangerous precedent? WHo would be foolish enough to let the U.N. hold sway over their country’s economy?

excerpt…
the address of the Swiss president of the General Assembly, Joseph Deiss, who said on Thursday at the opening of the annual gathering of world leaders in New York that it was time for the United Nations to “comprehensively fulfill its global governance role.”

Deiss suggested the world body should get more involved in economic and financial issues and not leave them solely in the hands of forums like the Group of 20 club of key developed and developing nations.

Posted: Jul 31, 2008 |

Sheffield’s the 4th biggest city in the uk & boasts a population of 525 800. these days, the city boasts a prosperous economy & quite low cost of living, which means that you’ll be able to live life to the full here.

Sheffield boasts lots of culture & entertainment, containing fantastic theatres, museums & galleries. it is the greenest city in britain, with 50 parks. Crime statistics also demonstrate that its one of england’s safest cities.

Sheffield is situated close to Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham & the Peak District.

The Sheffield area has been there sinceat least the last ice age. inspite of the cost, it was within the eighteenth century with the arrival of the steelworks, that the city really prospered. Indeed, the town was named as a borough in 1843 & given city status in 1893.

In the early 1970s, a number of the city’s steelworks were shut thanks to world wide competition. even though this caused mass unemployment, Sheffield was later revitalised & it is now a bustling, futuristic city that is well known for its music, excellent music & sensational park spaces.

There’s loads of stuff to do in Sheffield, including some exciting museums and galleries. One of the best is the Millennium Galleries, which is close to the railway station. These art galleries have permanent collections based on the themes of art, nature and people. as well as these, there are touring exhibits for instance a recent Vivienne Westwood retrospective.

Alternatively, you might want to visit the Graves Gallery or Bishop’s House.

Sheffield has many to offer lovers of shopping. the city has meadowhall, which is a major shopping centre with over 240 stores. The shopping centre was opened in 1990 & was one of the very first out of town shopping centres in england.

However, Sheffield city centre boasts some wonderful shops, too. in fact, you’ll find everything there, from high-street stores love facelift, to quirky independent stores.

Sheffield is renowned for its art galleries, particularly its night clubs. in actual fact, the super club Gatecrasher began here. However, it has clubs that cater to other types of music too, which contain many rock clubs.

In addition to exciting clubs, Sheffield also has sometimes exciting bars & superb live music venues, which means that it caters to every taste.

How do the banks find out if you’ve been out of school long enough to have to pay back student loans?

Two Ways to Get Approved for a Loan Modification If You’ve Been Turned down Already

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

Getting turned down on a home loan modification can be a devastating event leading to either foreclosure or the uncertainty of waiting in limbo for the home to sell at auction. Homeowners are currently being disqualified or not approved for variety of reasons including loss of employment, excessively high mortgage debt relative to income, and/or too much consumer (i.e. credit card) debt. Under normal economic conditions, a failed attempt at a loan modification would have immediate negative results as the foreclosure process would roll forward to the sale at auction with eviction following closely thereafter. Thatâ??s under normal conditions. If there is any good news coming from the current foreclosure crisis, itâ??s that the flood of foreclosures has glutted the market and only a small percentage of homes are selling at auction.

The excess supply of foreclosed homes is providing homeowners with a window of opportunity which could allow a second chance at a successful modification. Lenders, motivated by incentives from the administrationâ??s Home Affordability and Stability Plan are taking a second look at homeowners that may have been close to approval but were turned down. Whether you were close or not, getting approved on a second try can happen with the right game plan. If raising your income isnâ??t an option, youâ??re going to have to reduce your payments on accumulated debt to get approved for the modification.

First, enlist the services of an attorney with extensive home loan modification experience. A vast majority of borrowers that get turned down for a loan modification tried to get it done on their own. As is often the case, the modification didnâ??t work out because of correctable errors by the homeowner which would have been caught by an attorney who knows what to watch for during the process. An experienced attorney, after getting familiarized with your total financial picture, can then guide you through two processes of eliminating debt that can both get your loan modification approved and improve your finances dramatically.

* In a personal bankruptcy filing, if the second mortgage or home equity line of credit has no equity coverage in the related property, the bankruptcy judge can change status of the second mortgage into a â??wholly unsecuredâ? personal loan which can be discharged in bankruptcy. For example, if you owe $400,000 on your first mortgage and $125,000 on your second with an appraised property value of $380,000, your second mortgage is considered to be unsecured by the property. The bankruptcy judge can make ruling which turns the second mortgage into an unsecured loan with a motion that your attorney raises in court. The second is then considered to be in the same class as other unsecured loans which can be discharged in the same manner as credit card or department store debt. The discharge would eliminate
* If there isnâ??t a second mortgage, a debt negotiation can eliminate a substantial chunk of credit card and other consumer debt while cutting the payment obligation on the debt in half. Besides credit cards debts that can be included in a debt negotiation include medical bills, unpaid rent, signature loans, consumer loans and department store debt. A flexible payment plan can be set up allowing for full payment of the negotiated debt over a span of eighteen to forty eight months.

Be sure to employ an attorney to see you through either process to ensure that the outcome is the most optimal for your personal situation. That being said, if your desire is to stay in your home you have options which can reduce your payments, avoid foreclosure, and eliminate what could have been a lifetime of debt within a few years.

Loan Modification Help Center is a free gathering place for resources and information on the rapidly evolving field of loan modifications. The internet is over flowing with information on this subject with the problem being that there can be as much bad information and advice as good. For a homeowner struggling with mortgage payments and facing the possibility of foreclosure, the importance of getting straightforward information with no agenda or ulterior motive is of utmost importance. The resources we make available at Loan Modification Help Center are just what homeowners need as they seek to understand their options and get the information they need to make the critical decisions involved in a mortgage loan modification. Has there ever been a better time for the UK to adopt the Euro?

Monday, June 7th, 2010

If Gordon (secret Tory) Brown took us in now he might just save the British economy from the financial collapse that is rushing towards us. Crazy as it seems now is the time when the Germans can save the UK from disaster. I think
Gordon will be too afraid of angering the Americans to take Britain into the Euro so he will let us fry in the fire that is about to consume the dollar.
