But my question is do I put the actual credit card number down? (I’d rather not do this), or do I provide some other info?
The application requires I provide a name, address and phone number for the credit reference…
Would simply saying ‘Visa’ for the name suffice?

Well, i had a credit card about a year ago which i never paid for but am doing so now, i want to get a credit card application aproved, what can i do?
I have been married 9 years to my ‘perm. resident” husband ( from the UK) and together we have a duel citizenship child ( UK and USA passport holder) We have lived here in So. Cal for 9 yrs. and like all our other Brit friends and with the economy, we are wanting to return to the UK ( where my husband had lived all his life.
We have a 8 year old son with a current UK Passport in which my husband and son will enter the UK. I on the other hand need a Settlement Visa BUT, it is asking for a address in which we will living……we were wanting to pay 6 months rent in advance ( leaving us with 6 months of living expenses and travels..etc) but we were not going to secure a home until I got my Settlement Visa but can’t get my visa without giving an address…..what do I do ? If I make one mistake on the application, I lose my filing fees of $1,ooo American dollars. If immigration wants to get funny, they can stop me from entering the UK for 10 years…….so I am not into lying.
What has anyone else had this problem ? What did you do or what can be done ?
I know that canceling an open card can adversely affect credit. But I canceled the actual application process, minutes after I applied.

We purchased a local small business that in the past did business “on the fly” basically they gave 30 day terms to customers without any type of credit application. Most of the customers (86%) pay within terms however the other 14% do not, no matter how many times they are called. We would like to start charging a late fee or finance charge (which a notice has always been listed on every invoice) But we were told that due to not having a credit app on file, we would not be able to collect the fee legally? Anyone know if that is true?
